Writing this at almost 70 years old - just after we'd graduated from college, three of us rented an apartment in NYC (you could afford that back then). This was 1977 -- I vividly recall one of the roommates went to a club, maybe Max's Kansas City, and came back raving that he'd just saw something that was the future of not only music, but culture. I remember him saying it was like performance art, plus theater, plus electronic robot rock music from the future.

I've listened to this album probably over a 100 times in the last few months. Honestly, it's helped me understand a lot about myself, what I go through, what others go through, I could go on and on. 10/10. Five stars. Probably going to get that cat tattooed on me someday.

When we were groms, down the skatepark, Devo made an awful lot of sense, and they sounded awesome. That would have been 1979-80. The lyrics make more sense than ever, and they still sound awesome. So much get-down-and-boogie to their sound, despite the modern synths. Fantastic rhythm section! Guitars! Electronica! And videos - they were so ahead of their time.
